On August 24, Vibe Credit Union celebrated their new, full- service Novi branch, located at 44777 W. Twelve Mile, with a unique Ribbon Cutting event. The afternoon began with a soup-making kit activity hosted by Metro Food Rescue (MFR) and donated to Novi-based food pantry, Zelphia’s Community Kitchen. In just two hours, 14 Vibe employees assembled over 400 soup kits.

The kits will provide approximately 1,600 meals. Brad Resnick, Development Coordinator of MFR, commented, "Metro Food Rescue is so honored to be supported by Vibe Credit Union. Their staff and their commitment to community are beyond excellence." Vibe Credit Union donated $10,000 to MFR in support of their mission to waste less and feed more. Allan McMorris, President/CEO of Vibe Credit Union, said, “When we learned about their mission, we knew that sponsoring them was a perfect fit for Vibe.”

Vibe was proud to invite its branch staff, executive team, Board of Directors, friends from the City of Novi, and Novi Chamber of Commerce to celebrate the day. After 37 years of service, Allan McMorris is retiring on August 30, making this ribbon-cutting event particularly special. Not only was this event especially significant to Mr. McMorris, but the entire Vibe community he’s made an impression on throughout his career. Under Mr. McMorris’s leadership, the credit union has made it a priority to support the community through sponsorships, donations, and volunteerism.
