Novi Youth Assistance teamed up with the Novi Public Safety team for its annual Shop with a Hero event on Dec. 4 at Kohl's in Novi.
Eight youth from the community masked up to go shopping with staff from the Novi Police and Novi Fire Departments. Each child left Kohl’s with a shopping bag full of new apparel and received an extra 25% discount for purchases.
Novi Youth Assistance would like to give a special thanks to our local Police and Firefighters who volunteered to help make this day special: Officer Trevor Lossos, Officer Erik Rockwell, Officer Josh Johnson, Officer Sarah Moulik, Officer Scott Woodley, Officer Adam McGee, Firefighter Dane Fitzgerald, Firefighter Amir Farahani, Firefighter Troy Halkey, Firefighter Matt Osborne, Lieutenant Mark Pehrson, Lieutenant Keith Wuotinen, Captain Mark Theisen and Assistant Chief Erick Zinser.
