City to Complete Construction of 13 Mile Road and Open it to Two-Way Traffic By September 29

The City of Novi is pleased to announce that 13 Mile Road will be open to two-way traffic by the end of this week

We understand that the construction season has been difficult for everyone, and we appreciate your patience. We have been working closely with the Great Lakes Water Authority for the entirety of this project. When the City learned GLWA would not begin reconstruction of the north side of 13 Mile Road until October 4 or 5, concerns arose about missing a deadline communicated to Novi residents on reopening the roadway to two-way traffic.
 
We are happy to report that we have reached an agreement to open the road sooner than originally planned.
 
The GLWA will complete the paving on the south side of 13 Mile Road this week, and the City of Novi will take over the remainder of the reconstruction project next summer when school is out of session. During this portion of the project, 13 Mile Road will again be open to one-way traffic only, but for a limited time and with no school traffic adding to the congestion.
 
We hope that this proposed plan will alleviate traffic and usher in a sense of normalcy for residents in the near future. Thank you again for your patience and understanding.
