Last weekend, members from the Novi Police Department participated in the 2024 Polar Plunge for Special Olympics. The theme for their costumes, was inspired by the movie Joe Dirt . The ice wasn't thick enough on Walled Lake, so all of the participants jumped in a frigid, ice cold pool.  This was Novi PD’s first year doing the plunge and the money raised ($2,867) contributed to the overall amount of $108,300 raised by all other law enforcement groups and private organizations that also plunged.  We can't wait to see what costumes they come up with next year!
