Novi City Council continues to do its part to help our business community, approving a further relaxation of the sign ordinance along with waiving permit fees and submission of an application until Dec. 31, 2020.

There is now no limit to the number of signs that can be placed outside a business so long as the total square footage of the signs does not exceed 144 square feet. Feather sides are also now permitted, up to two per business, and must be counted toward the total square feet. The only signs that are not permitted are those that move or flash.
