Novi City Council recently approved a resolution - due to the COVID-19 pandemic - to allow added or expanded outdoor retail space and bar/restaurant seating to assist businesses with restricted occupancy.

Retail establishments, restaurants and bars may request a free permit to add or expand outdoor seating and shopping areas. An application MUST be submitted & approved prior to implementation.

Expanded outdoor seating & shopping areas is in effect from June 1, 2020 to October 31, 2020 (depending on City Council action).
