After much consideration, and following the guidance of Gov. Whitmer's Emergency Declaration, City of Novi Leadership has made the decision to close the following municipal facilities to the public effective Tuesday, March 17, through at least Sunday, April 12:
  • Novi Civic Center
  • Novi Public Library
  • Novi Ice Arena
  • Meadowbrook Commons & Activity Center
  • Department of Public Works
  • Novi Police Department (Records)
  • Novi Fire Stations

This decision was made to not only protect the health and safety of the community, but our employees as well. We have every confidence in their ability to continue to provide the quality services for which you are accustomed, albeit via the phone or email.

All critical staff and emergency services will continue to operate with full staffing. These closures will not impact any Novi Police or Novi Fire services, including 9-1-1.

If you need assistance from the City of Novi, all departments will continue to be staffed from 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday. You can also visit cityofnovi.org for answers to many questions and to utilize online services. If you are unsure of who to call, contact Community Relations at 248.735.5628.

All PRCS programming and classes are suspended during this time period and rentals are canceled. However, Meals on Wheels and Older Adult Transportation will both continue to run regular hours. Please contact Novi Parks at 248.347.0400 or email noviparks@cityofnovi.org if you have any questions.

Water bills can be paid by mail to City of Novi - Water P.O. Box 33321, Drawer 47, Detroit, MI 48232; the drop box located outside the Civic Center, by phone 855-340-4487 or online by clicking here. The Water Department will not be scheduling appointments at this time unless it is an emergency.

If you are in need of a dog license, you can purchase it on the Oakland County website here. If you have any questions, call 248.347.0440.

Novi's Leadership Team will be meeting daily to monitor the situation and provide any updates as needed.

We have created a page on the City's website dedicated to keeping you informed about the impact COVID-19 has on our community. You can find it easily on the homepage of cityofnovi.org or by clicking here.
