Novi Parks Soccer Club is forming select level teams for the 2020-21 soccer year! Select teams are known as the Lightning and they play at a higher competition level then recreational teams. Due to the current situation and the unknowns ahead, MSYSA will not sanction in-person tryouts for select level teams this year. Therefore, we will be doing player evaluation through a “virtual tryout” process.

Player Evaluation for “Virtual Tryout”
New players need to register for the Select Soccer Interest List – NPSC Lightning. In order to help coaches evaluate players (especially new players), please record a short video (less than 3 minutes) showcasing basic skills such as dribbling, juggling, passing, and shooting as you are able in your practice space. Then send the video to all coaches listed in your age group. You can also send it to coaches for an older age division if you’re interested in possibly “playing up.” Contact information can be found here: 2020-21 Lightning Coach Contacts.

Extending & Accepting Offers
Coaches can begin extending offers to returning players on June 1 and new players on June 13. To accept an offer, players and parents/guardians must sign a WSSL Player Registration Form and send it to croot@cityofnovi.org. Players will also need to turn in a copy of their birth certificate and register for the league prior to the registration deadline.
