Leveraging the state program to upskill your employees, increase productivity and improve staff retention.

Since its inception four years ago, more than 207,000 state residents have taken advantage of the Michigan Reconnect program to receive free tuition and complete their post-secondary education at local community colleges across the state.

Oakland County employers can leverage this program to enhance their teams at no cost. In addition, Oakland County Michigan Works! can provide supportive services to eligible Michigan Reconnect participants that help
break down barriers to returning to school or receiving advanced training.

This opportunity is aligned with Oakland80, the County’s ambitious initiative to have 80 percent of adults obtain a college degree or skills certification by 2030. Join us for our next free, virtual workshop, which will provide an overview of the Michigan Reconnect program and how it benefits employers and employees alike.

Workshop Highlights:

Tuition-free education for residents 25 and older without a degree.
Employer benefits, including an upskilled workforce, better productivity and improved retention.
Enrollment process, including eligibility requirements and application steps for Michigan Reconnect.
Working with our Business Solutions Professionals to start the process.
Supportive services provided by Oakland County Michigan Works to eligible participants.
