The 17th annual Cottage & Lakefront Living Show has everything in one place to get ready for summertime fun, Thur., Feb. 22 - Sun., Feb. 25, at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi. “Whether planning for a week’s vacation, all summer or year-round, our pre-season show brings together exhibitors and experts for cottage owners, cabin renters and waterfront property,” said Dawn Baker, show manager of ShowSpan, Inc. “Check out a cabin, sit on a dock, tryout a pickleball court and look at the water toys available.” Find expertise, advice and ideas on family succession planning, group vacation rentals and how to get the most out of cottage and lakefront life at Cottage Conversations and Seminars Stage. Attendees can list vacation property or look for options on the “For Sale or Rent” bulletin board. Fun for all ages begins at the show’s massive sandbox, The Beach, by putting toes in the sand combined with building a sandcastle or participating in the cornhole tournament. Families can locate and mark where their vacation home is located on an oversized Michigan map. Showgoers can vote for the entry that best captures cottage and lakefront living at the Water & Woods Photo Contest.

Michigan artists featured in the Cottage Art Show will present one-of-a-kind metal art, wood furniture, cottage décor and photography. Decorative accessories, gourmet foods, handcrafted items and Michigan-themed merchandise will be available for purchase in the Lakefront Marketplace. The Michigan Chapter of Antique and Classic Boat Society, dedicated to the preservation and enjoyment of historic boats, will have several restored boats and a mahogany cruiser built by a member with his daughter when she was 11-years-old on display.

Exhibitors will have demonstrations, information and educational materials whether attendees are looking to buy, build or maintain vacation or lakefront property. Displays include builders, contractors, realtors, boats, docks, decks, seawalls, landscaping, indoor and outdoor furniture, outdoor recreational equipment and water toys. A full-size pickleball court will be setup by Purchase Green of Lowell and sold as a do-it-yourself kit. Big Ship Salvage of Milan will feature indoor and outdoor nautical lighting and antiques that were refurbished from ships around the world. “Start planning at the show with eco-friendly project solutions, renovation scheduling and purchasing outdoor recreational equipment to create this year’s family summer memories,” said Baker. Suburban Collection Showplace is located at 46100 Grand River Ave. between Novi and Beck Road in Novi, Mich.
