Due to her effort, determination, and dedication to the citizens of Novi and the staff of the Novi Public Safety teams, Lieutenant Amanda Kulikowski has been named the March 2020 Novi Public Safety Employee of the Month.

Kulikowski was nominated by Recruit Officer Ivezic for her work in coordinating the department’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Kulikowski has been responsible for keeping department personnel informed on current trends and State and County orders. She has made sure that public safety personnel have all of the personal protection equipment and anti-bacterial supplies that they need to stay safe and coordinated staff reduction to maintain social distancing practices at work.

In addition, she spearheaded COVID-19 testing and antibody testing for all of the public safety personnel through Wayne State University and testing through the Oakland County Health Division for our community and region.

Her leadership during this crisis played a large role in keeping our Public Safety teams safe and allowing us to continue to serve the community in the safest way possible.
