Custom Personalized Lawn Care is celebrating its 35th year as a locally-owned family business providing Weed Control & Fertilization, Grub Control, Fall Core Aerations, and outdoor Pest Control services. Jack Campbell began his lawn care career in 1973 with Jack's Landscaping, Inc. to make extra income for his young family while working at the GM V-8 Plant in Flint. Jack's son Rodney Campbell became involved in the business as a teenager and formally organized Custom Personalized Lawn Care on April 1, 1988. Rodney eventually shifted the company focus over to residential lawn care services and was instrumental in growing the company into one of the largest privately-owned lawn care businesses in Michigan. A third generation of family members is now also involved in the business, which operates out of four locations in Flint (the company headquarters), Saginaw, Lansing and a recently opened Novi location. Custom Personalized Lawn Care services over 16,000 customers each year and employs over 60 full-time workers.

"It's always been very important to us as a business that no matter how big we grow, we still maintain that family feel for our customers," said current owner Rodney Campbell. "Three generations of family members have been involved in running this business and we view each one of our customers as part of our family."

One of the main mantras that is talked about daily with their Certified Technicians before heading into the field is to "treat each lawn like it's your Grandma's lawn," said Campbell. "I often tell others that what makes us different from other lawn care companies is not the products or the techniques we use, it's our people that set us apart. We have employees that have worked with us for 10, 20, even for all 35 years that we've been in business. The time and attention that our employees put into providing that family feel is what our customers value most."
