Catholic Central DECA finished in first place in both the state of Michigan and across the entire nation in the MDA Challenge. This includes 3,375 high school chapters from all 50 states. To date, DECA members have raised both awareness and more than $5 million to help MDA serve the hundreds of thousands of children and adults living with muscular dystrophy, ALS and related life-threatening diseases that take away muscle strength and mobility. More information can be found at MDA - DECA Inc.
The final standings are listed below along with a message from the CC DECA coach and business teacher, Amanda Price.
"Our 126 members were thrilled to be apart of a challenge that will benefit so many deserving children. Our entire chapter is grateful for your support of our efforts in this challenge. We couldn’t have done it without you! In a final note, I wanted to mention that Samantha Blewett was the glue that connected our chapter with the appropriate MDA personnel to make all of this happen. Samantha is the sister of Danny Blewett, CC class of 2017. The power of the Catholic Central family and network proves itself once again!"
