Long known for being the center of entertainment in Novi, Twelve Mile Crossing at Fountain Walk will transform into a traditional outdoor holiday market for the first time when the City of Novi hosts the inaugural Winter Wine & Whimsy 2021.

The free winter market – scheduled to run from Nov. 19-21 – will feature holiday-themed food and drinks from Fountain Walk restaurants, live entertainment nightly, visits from Santa, strolling carolers, outdoor games and activities, photo stations, a variety of artisans selling their wares, and so much more.

“The holiday season is a magical time in Novi and what better way to kick it off then to bring the community together for a weekend celebration,” said Novi Mayor Bob Gatt. “Residents have long been clamoring for an event catered to both families and adults, and surely there will be something for everyone at Winter Wine & Whimsy.”

Winter Wine & Whimsy is expected to welcome 20-30 artists and crafters who will be selling traditional holiday art, decorations and crafts, holiday greens, gifts, and home accessories. While several vendor applications have already been received, those interested in selling items have until Oct. 12 to apply.

If selected, cost for a vendor booth is only $200 for the three-day event. Vendors will receive a 10x10 display area under large tent and are responsible for their own set up and tear-down, including providing auxiliary lights, etc. Event organizers will provide 24-hour security.

“We are extremely excited about the quality of artists and crafters we have lined up,” said Sheryl Walsh-Molloy, Director of Communications for the City of Novi. “This is going to be a great opportunity for people to get a head start on their holiday decorations and shopping.”

Vibe Credit Union, whose headquarters is located off 12 Mile Road next to Fountain Walk, is the presenting sponsor of Winter Wine & Whimsy. A long-time community sponsor, Vibe jumped at the opportunity to get involved.

Another highlight of the event is the Beerhead Biergarten where visitors 21+ can warm up by firepits, play games, and listen to live music while enjoying a beer or a glass of wine. Beerhead Bar & Eatery, located in Twelve Mile Crossing at Fountain Walk, will be providing the beer and wine while volunteers from the Novi
Police and Fire Benevolent Association will be serving it. A portion of the proceeds from the event will support the Novi PFBA, a non-profit that supports public safety personnel in Novi and other communities during times of need.

Winter Wine & Whimsy will take place in the center of Twelve Mile Crossing at Fountain Walk from 5-10 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 19, 2-10 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 20, and noon-6 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 21.
