As the Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA) prepares to launch its $81 million 14 Mile Road Water Main Project in November 2026, residents across Novi, Farmington Hills, and West Bloomfield are invited to attend any of four open houses to learn more about upcoming timelines, traffic impacts, and advanced inspection technologies.

Construction starts in November 2026 along 14 Mile Road between Haggerty and Farmington roads. The project will replace over 3 miles of aging pipe and equip another 3 miles, from Farmington Road to the Franklin pumping station, with real-time acoustic monitoring technology.

GLWA does not expect that there will be any impact to water service during this project.
The Open House in Novi will take place on Thursday, October 15 (5:30-7:30 PM) at the Lakeshore Park Community Building.

Additional open houses are scheduled in Farmington Hills on October 7 at The Hawk and October 8 at The Costick Center. There will also be an open house in West Bloomfield on Oct. 12.
For additional information, attend an open house, contact the project hotline at 313-237-7900 or visit glwater.org/cip-project/14-mile-replacement-project/
