Visit with Santa, enjoy lights at Fuerst Festive Nights
Published: 9/20/2021
Celebrate the holidays and escape to Novi’s own winter wonderland at Fuerst Festive Nights taking place Dec. 3-5 at Fuerst Park.

The free event is replacing Light Up the Night, Novi’s annual holiday kick off, and residents will be able to enjoy the park throughout the month of December as the trails and trees will be lit each night.

“We know how much people liked Light Up the Night and we think Fuerst Festive Nights takes us to the next level,” said Recreation Supervisor Cristin Spiller. “This is a fun, outdoor event families can enjoy over the course of three days. Even after the event, we fully expect to see people enjoying the park all December long.”

A total of 39 trees will be lit throughout the park, alongside a variety of other decorations at the historic Township Hall and along the trail. During Fuerst Festive Nights, guests will take part in nature-friendly crafts as they walk the lighted trail, sip hot chocolate and roast marshmallows on the Novi Public Library patio, listen to carolers at the amphitheater, and enjoy a bite to eat from one of the food vendors.

Of course, a holiday event wouldn’t be complete without a visit from Santa. Santa will take photos with families inside Township Hall for free. Pre-registration for a Santa visit is required and must be completed in advance. Guests will use their own camera for photos. Register at cityofnovi.org.

Fuerst Festive Nights runs from 6-9 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 3 and from 4-8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 4 and Sunday, Dec. 5. For more information, visit cityofnovi.org or call 248.347.0400. The trail used for Fuerst Festive Nights is paved and accessible to all users. Fuerst Park is located at the corner of Ten Mile and Taft roads.

We would be remiss if we didn’t thank our Fuerst Festive Nights sponsors: Diversified Members Credit Union, The Escape Room, The Goddard School, Novi Coffee and Tea, and the Novi Public Library. Sponsorship opportunities are still available for those interested. Call 248.347.0474 for additional information.
