The Novi Wildcats Varsity Pom Team won the Varsity State Championship at the Michigan State-Wide Pom Pon Competition Saturday hosted by Mid-American Pom Pon.

Novi outperformed 11 other Varsity teams with their routine to “This is Our House” The squad was victorious over the Garden City Pom team who has been a dominant force in this sport for the past 5 years.

Coach Kristy Renaud and Assistant Coach April Brousseau directed and choreographed the routine which was judged on formations, team unity, precision, kick line, choreography, showmanship, and talent.

Captains Macaire Schlaff and Nicole Lang led the team of Gi Hong, Alexa Boron, Taylor Boron, Nicole Rigdon, Kimberly Powers, Kelsie Autterson, Brooke McKnight, Emily Sciriha, Paige Juzswik, Katie Groechel, Ashley Wojtylo, Mackenzie Kelley, Jessica Dipaola, Mikaela Falsetti, Juliana Parks, Marisa Giampa, Jillian Kaminski, Ashley Miller, Meghan Stickler, Morgan Shepard, Christy Lyon, and Alex delaCruz.
