Wildcat Cross Country wins the Anchor Bay Invitational
 Michigan's top cheerleader cheers Wildcats to big victory

The "Top 7" of Novi Men's Cross Country team traveled to Stoney Creek Metro park to compete in the Anchor Bay Invitational Friday afternoon. The 'Cats took first place, and were cheered on by the state's top cheerleader: Nicole Blaszczyk, Miss Michigan 2009 and Novi Wildcat Senior Mike Blaszczyk's older sister.

How did Mike finish on Friday? He took first place in a field of 9 schools attending the meet, leading Novi to a solid first place victory. Also finishing in the top ten for Novi were Egner, Schubring, Giese,  Minghine and Giampa.

On Saturday, the remaining 'Cats ran in the Walled Lake Western Invitational. Novi's freshmen and sophomores took first place, lead by Jenkins, Trainor, Lee and Gardner in the top ten. The Wildcat juniors and senior took a respectable third place at the event, even without the "Top 7" runners.
