Novi Police reports pharmacy robbery Sunday night
May 16, 2017

NOVI, MI - Shortly after 11pm Sunday, Novi officers responded to a reported armed robbery at the Rite Aid located in Bushes Plaza at the corner of 10 Mile Rd and Meadowbrook Rd.

The manager and another employee were closing the store when a lone male subject wearing a mask reportedly entered the business. The suspect implied he had a gun and demanded access to the scheduled narcotic drugs, which employees could not provide.

He then allegedly proceeded to rummage through the pharmacy before exiting the business via the rear door. There were no injuries. It is believed the suspect fled with petty cash and some prescription medication. Investigators are still working with Rite Aid officials to determine exactly what was taken.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information regarding the identity of the suspect is asked to contact Detective Michael Bender at 248-348-7100, or remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAKUP.
