City's budget amendment blocked by Markham and Mutch
May 3, 2016

NOVI, MI - It takes five votes to pass a budget amendment in Novi, and with Council Member Wayne Wrobel absent Monday evening the four majority members fell one vote short.

A big part of the proposal was to upgrade the sewer system along 9 Mile Road west of Beck Road, and also to reallocate tree maintenance cost from the road budget to the tree fund budget.

It's likely the budget changes will come up again in the near future as several other items are necessary, and more of a formality than anything else.
