MDOT announces website for info on coming I-275 rebuild
March 10, 2016

LANSING, MI -  In order to keep the public informed, The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) has created a website specifically for the upcoming I-275 project in Wayne and Oakland counties. The site, www.revive275.com has all the available information on the project that has been presented at public meetings, including drawings, maps, pictures and press releases.

MDOT will use the website to keep the public updated with current and changing information regarding schedules of freeway and ramp closures as the project progresses. An e-mail link will be provided for the public to contact MDOT regarding project questions and comments.

The project to replace concrete on I-275 between 5 Mile through the interchange with I-96/I-696/M-5 is expected to begin this spring. MDOT is currently reviewing bids for the approximately $80 million project and expects to announce the winning contractor in early April. Once the contract is reviewed and approved, MDOT will announce the project schedule.

MDOT will be working with the Wayne County Road Commission and the Road Commission of Oakland County to coordinate construction in the area.
