Car crash claims life of Farmington Hills teen, injures Ann Arbor teen

March 27, 2008

On Wednesday evening just before 10:00 p.m., the Novi Police Department received a call advising a motor vehicle crash occurred on Haggerty Road, south of Ten Mile Road. Novi Police Officers responded to the scene and determined the crash involved a single vehicle. A 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis drove off the roadway and rolled, coming to rest in the entrance of an apartment complex.

The driver of the car, an 18-year old Ann Arbor male, and the passenger, an 18-year old female from Farmington Hills, were transported to William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak.

The driver was treated for his injuries and is expected to make a full recovery. However, the female passenger received emergency medical care, but ultimately succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

At this point alcohol does not appear to be a factor in this accident.

This crash is under investigation by the Novi Police Department. If anyone has any information regarding this incident, they are asked to contact the Novi Police Department at 248-348-7100
