Untangling the Web,
and Weaving a
Great Story
10/10/2006
It’s always been cool for a high school football player
to see his name in the paper. And Novi High School has
had it’s share of outstanding coverage over the years,
with exposure in at least 4 sizable newspapers.
In addition, Wildcat
fans can hear the games broadcasted on Friday nights on
WOVI 89.5FM, "Real Radio" from Novi High.
But the real
breakthrough regarding high school sports coverage,
particularly high school football, and especially Novi
High School football, has been on the Internet.
For today’s high school
students, the Internet has been a part of their lives
since they were in the First Grade. So it’s not
surprising to see so many high schools nationwide that
have developed first-class websites, sometimes complete
with message boards, video clips and even streaming
play-by-play.
Novi.org filled that
bill now for 7 years. An eye-catching site complete with
Novi school colors and the signature Powercat, the site
has been offering scores, stories, behind the scenes
activities, photos and much, much more.
Now with the advent of
Novifootball.org, there
is even more information for even the most
discriminating fan. Between both sites, you can find
game-recaps, stats, game stories and of course updates
of their opponents and rivals.
Around the country some
of the nation’s powerhouse football programs, like
Lakeland, Florida, Jenks, Oklahoma, and Lufkin, Texas
also boast impressive websites, but none of them have
been doing it as long as Novi.org, nor do it as well as
Novifootball.org.
The best high school
websites go well beyond the scores and the stats.
Novi.org has been doing it with the best of them for
almost a decade. A First-class information source for a
first-class football program...
People from around the
world can follow Novi football by simply logging on to
Novi.org and Novifootball.org, and they’ll never miss a
play.
And it all started
right here… in Wildcat Country.
