Tyler Perpich and Paul Favorite both scored in the first period to give Novi a 2-1 lead early in the game. But two unanswered goals by the Warrior's Joe Van Antwerp in the second and third periods sealed Novi's fate for the season. Novi goalie Kevin Michalzuk "stood up and played a good game," said Brother Rice coach Lou Schmidt following the game.

Kevin Michalzuk was stellar in net, stopping 29 shots as the Wildcats resoundingly defeated the Lakeland Eagles 5-0 Wednesday. Paul Favorite put Novi on the board, followed by goals from Bryan Winkel, Matt Fegert, Tyler Perpich and Andrew Haggerty. Novi's defense was also stellar, and the penalty killing held the Eagles at bay, even during a couple 5-on-3s.
