 City of Novi survey
confirms what most
probably already
suspected

Novi is a great place to live and work. People are comfortable living here. It's a great place to raise your children. It's a safe community. The shopping and dining choices are excellent. In short, Novi is a very well managed community.

The negatives? Growth, taxes (how could taxes not be on this list) and traffic. No surprise here either.

The survey, recently conducted for the City of Novi by a firm that specializes in this type of thing, confirmed what most probably already suspected. But it was refreshing to see it in detail, with all the statistics to back it up.

We were very pleased to see city services, especially police, fire and one-on-one citizen encounters, all rated highly.

Folks, we've got some very high-quality staff in all City of Novi departments, and many terrific volunteers, and the results show.

We the People are pleased that the City conducted this survey, and we're very pleased that the city immediately published both summarized and detailed results for all to see.

The timing is especially good, what with goal setting and budget season fast approaching. We are confident all of our elected officials will also study these survey results, and use them as a guideline for this year's planning sessions. After all, it's what We the People are really thinking.
